Overview
Dayworker is a mobile platform and professional network built for the blue-collar workforce, helping contractors connect with local, on-demand laborers and tradespeople. Workers can create profiles, showcase their skills and experience, and discover job opportunities, while contractors can search, message, and hire nearby workers quickly through features like map-based search and real-time translated messaging. The platform aims to modernize how labor is found and managed in industries that traditionally rely on word-of-mouth and outdated hiring methods.

I built Dayworker's web MVP from the ground up within six months. Since the first line of code was written, I had planned to extend the site to iOS and Android Native Apps. The initial System Design centered around a Firebase connections (Auth / Database / Storage) package. This way when were ready to extend the monorepo to a React Native App, all core-functionality could be easily connected.
